Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The PanAfrican Acupuncture Project (PAAP), a not-for-profit educational organization, encourages community empowerment and wellness by training local health-care providers how to use simple, effective acupuncture protocols to treat the symptoms of HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and other chronic conditions. Treatments, as provided by the Trainees, serve to reduce pain and suffering, improve quality of life, and help to instill a greater sense of hope. PAAP works with local governmental and nongovernmental agencies and health-care facilities to improve access to and effectiveness of care through collaboration with Western and traditional health-care modalities.
